WANTED: Experienced Truck Driver – Medium-Heavy Rigid

Full time | Immediate start | Excellent salary package

Role

• Local and interstate deliveries and pick ups
• Work full time Monday – Friday only
• 2–4 nights per week overnight
• All-rounder helping to get trailers ready for delivery when based at the factory
• Run through the basic operations with the customer upon delivery
• Backloads when returning to the factory

Required

• Medium or Heavy Rigid licence
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, as you will be delivering directly to our customers

This role is FULL TIME: Monday–Friday.

We manufacture commercial trailers and machinery in Murwillumbah, NSW.

• 35 minutes from Burleigh
• Travelling against the traffic
• Pleasant drive through cane fields and past the river with no bumper-to-bumper traffic

Mobile Service Technician – Earthmoving Machinery

We are seeking a practical and reliable Mobile Service Technician to join our Sydney-based machinery team.

This is a varied, hands-on role that combines mobile servicing and after-sales support with workshop and yard-based duties. You will spend part of your time at our Sydney yard completing pre-delivery inspections and preparing machinery for customers. You will also travel to customer sites throughout Sydney and surrounding areas to diagnose faults, complete servicing and undertake any after-sales care work required.

A fully maintained company vehicle and mobile phone will be supplied.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Travelling to customer locations to inspect, diagnose and repair machinery
• Completing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults
• Carrying out after-sales repairs and warranty-related work
• Completing pre-delivery inspections on new and used machinery
• Testing machinery to ensure it is operating correctly before delivery
• Fitting attachments and completing minor adjustments where required
• Clearly explaining faults, repairs and machine operation to customers
• Maintaining accurate service records, photographs and job reports
• Keeping the company vehicle, tools and work areas clean and organised
• Working with our sales and after-sales teams to resolve customer concerns efficiently
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who is mechanically capable, dependable and confident working independently in the field.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Experience servicing or repairing earthmoving, agricultural, construction or similar machinery
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
• A relevant mechanical trade qualification, although substantial hands-on experience will also be considered
• Basic electrical diagnostic skills
• The ability to work independently and manage mobile service appointments
• A professional and helpful approach when dealing with customers
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer and smartphone skills for completing service reports
• A strong focus on workmanship, safety and attention to detail
• A current unrestricted Australian driver licence
• The physical ability to safely perform the requirements of the role

Experience working with excavators, wheel loaders, skid steer loaders, tracked loaders, telehandlers, backhoes or similar equipment would be highly regarded.

Machinery Pre-Delivery Technician / Yard Hand

Digger King is looking for a reliable and mechanically minded person to join our Sydney display yard in Milperra.

This is a varied, hands-on position combining machinery pre-delivery work with general yard duties. You do not need to be a qualified mechanic, but you must be comfortable working around machinery, using tools and completing practical tasks without needing constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing pre-delivery inspections on new excavators, loaders and other machinery
• Checking fluid levels, controls, lights, safety equipment and general machine operation
• Fitting buckets, attachments and other accessories
• Identifying and reporting faults or items requiring attention
• Cleaning and presenting machines ready for customer collection or delivery
• Receiving, moving and organising machinery within the yard
• Loading and unloading trucks when required
• Maintaining accurate pre-delivery checklists
• Keeping the display area, workshop and yard clean, safe and organised
• Assisting customers with machinery collections and basic handovers
• Performing general yard and maintenance duties as required

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is mechanically minded and confident using hand and power tools
• Has experience with earthmoving equipment, agricultural machinery, forklifts, vehicles or similar equipment
• Takes pride in completing work properly and presenting machinery professionally
• Can work independently and manage daily tasks
• Is reliable, punctual and physically capable of performing a hands-on role
• Has good attention to detail and can follow inspection procedures
• Communicates well with customers, transport drivers and other team members
• Holds a current Australian driver’s licence

A forklift licence, mechanical qualification or previous experience with machinery pre-deliveries would be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right person.

Role:

• Senior role overseeing the day to day running of our busy factory
• Organising and ordering different materials and parts from different suppliers
• Stock management
• Schedule workflow, staff, customer collection and delivery dates
• Run through the basic operations with the customer when collecting from the factory
• Take calls to answer questions when the customer has queries or needs help troubleshooting difficulties operating the machines

Required:

• Experience in a similar role in the caravan or trailer industry, managing a warehouse, logistics, scheduling jobs and staff
• A mechanical or boilermaking background would be ideal, so you have a general understanding and knowledge of parts used in manufacturing our products
• Excellent communication and staff management skills
• Ability to work unsupervised, be proactive and have an eye for detail
• You will need to be a reliable self-starter, able to accurately organise yourself daily to meet deadlines

This role is FULL TIME: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm.
